Lenore and I were married in beautiful St. James Cathedral in downtown Brooklyn with Lenore’s cousin, Monsignor Michael, officiating. I had hired a small chamber group and a singer to perform several of my compositions before and during the ceremony. At our reception, held at Moran’s in Manhattan, Lenore and I did our first dance together, a waltz, to my song Love Comes Quietly. With 6 recent dancing lessons under our belt, we successfully gave our delighted families and friends the impression that we actually knew what we were doing on the dance floor. I gave a speech acknowledging everyone, especially my parents and Lenore. There were photos galore taken, great food (which Lenore and I barely had the chance to touch), and more dancing. Instead of a wedding cake, we had these extravagant cupcakes brought in from Downtown Atlantic, a great Brooklyn eatery. Towards the end of the festivities, my happy mother came over to have a dance with me, and at age 82, she was like a teenager all over again.

Finally, Lenore and I were whisked away to our honeymoon suite, a room at the New York Athletic Club, courtesy of a member friend of Lenore’s sister. Scattered around the various floors were several magnificent Steinways, some old, some new, with which I was allowed to serenade my beautiful new wife. What an amazing place!

In April 2006, after a 7-month layoff, I resumed composing, continuing with and going deeper into the process I had begun in the first volume of reveries. By the end of September 2007, I had finished the 10 compositions listed chronologically on the left. The individual reveries in this batch came out generally lengthier than those in the first volume. I felt that 10 were enough to constitute a full second volume.
